DIT TOP PREMIER EAST DIVISION FOR SECOND YEAR IN A ROW
The DIT Premier Men's Team finished top of the keenly contested Premier East Division League for the second consecutive year. They beat Trinity College, Colaiste Ide and IT Tallaght and drew with DCU. In their opening game they were beaten at home to UCD who ended up runner's up in the group.
The All-Ireland quarter final draw takes place in the FAI HQ on December 9th with UCD, Athlone IT, Wateford IT, Cork IT and Carlow IT joining DIT in the draw. The north region still has to be decided with Jordanstown and Magee College taking up the top two positions.
DIT LADIES OFF TO THE PERFECT START
The DIT ladies team have had the perfect start to both league and cup games for the 2011/12 season. They opened their league campaign with a 5-1 hammering of local rivals Trinity college with scholarship students Laura Chambers and Mary Byrne scoring the goals in Grangegorman.
IN the first round of the Challenge Cup they came from behind to draw 3-3 all with UCD in Bellfield after normal time. In extra time the DIT team showed their worth scoring twice to finish 5-3 eventual winners. They now face IT Tallaght in Grangegorman in November in the second round.
DIT SOCCER CLUB CROWNED DIT SPORTS CLUB OF THE YEAR FOR 2010/11
The DIT Soccer Club fought off stiff opposition from the Ski Club and the Karting Club to win the Annual DIT Sports Club of the Year Award for 2010/11. The Awards took place on April 10th 2011 at the Aviva Stadium with Olympic Silver Medal Winner Kenneth Egan the guest presenter on the night. The Soccer Club achievements included the Dublin North Women's Regional Winners, Premier East Division League Winners and All-Ireland Umbro Cup Winners. The club also reached the womens National League final and All-Ireland Bob Eustace Cup Final. In addition the club runs a successful school and community coaching programme with in excess of 40 children coached each week. They also run Kick Start coaching courses and recreational no competitive leagues in the vicinity of the DIT campuses.

DIT Men's A Team won the Premier East A Division last Wednesday 5th of November with a 2-1 win over Trinity College in College Park Trinity. DIT now face IT Tallaght in the Premier East play-off to be played in the last week in November.
DIT B came from behind to draw 2-2 with NCI in UCD on Tuesday the 4th.
The Mens C team were narrowly beaten 2-1 by IT Tallaght in a thrilling encounter in Pearse Park Crumin. IT Tallaght are now in the driving seat to win the Division 2 Dublin North section.
