Report IT Tralee:

ITTralee capitalised on their fine start to the 2009 campaign with a hard fought win over CSN in Mounthawk Park, Tralee today Wednesday Oct 21st.

Once again a super strike by centre forward Killian O Connor proved decisive for the Tralee outfit in the 24th minute.

A long clearance by captain and centre half Dave Moore found O’Connor in a race with the Cork central defenders. O’Connor won the race with the help of his controlled header and as the Cork keeper Lang came out to narrow the angle O Connor slipped the ball under him into the empty net.

It was a game played at a very fast pace throughout and Stiofain Naofa can feel aggrieved that they came away without any points as they had a lions share of possession.

But try as they might they could not breach the colossal Tralee central defenders Moore and Brosnan as well as keeper O’Connor.

In the 37th minute a fine move orchestrated by midfield dynamo Forde resulted in a fine shot by Collins that keeper O’Connor did well to get to.

Indeed Forde was at the heart of everything good the Cork College did but they failed to have any luck in front of goal.

For Tralee O Connor was a constant threat and worked well with Midfield players O’Donoghue and Boylan.
