onditions were wet and wintery at Maynooth during this entertaining CUFL Premier east B div game. This was the third round of league fixtures for this division. DCU started the stronger of the two teams, stringing neat passing movements together. The pressure told after just fifteen minutes when John Mulroy broke through the Maynooth defence and finished tidily. Maynooth looked disjointed at times playing with five in midfield. However the home side started to create some decent chances but failed to capitalize.
Maynooth made a couple of changes at half time and looked more settled. They now were edging the game slightly. On seventy five minutes Mark Forker converted a free kick from thirty five yards. There was a hint of fortune with the goal as keeper Mark Hatton failed to deal with what looked like a simple catch. At the other end Alex Reilly Maynooths keeper made a string of good saves during the game. In the end a draw was probably a fair result on the day.
