Ally Gordan was top scorer on opening day of the competition when he scored a hat-trick of goals to help Coleraine overcome DCU.
Coleraine led 2-1 at half-time and their other goals came from Paddy Trolan, Nicky Hargan and goalkeeper Ryan McGeough who marched down the pitch to convert a penalty. Jamie Sullivan had DCU’s goal in reply.
