| Limerick were rated one of the favourites to win the competition prior to kick-off but despite a brave effort they were unable to contain an impressive UCD, who are now fancied by many to win the Cup. UCD were given huge impetus by a goal within two minutes of kick-off when Eoin Roche put them ahead. They led by two when Robbie Creevy added a second before the interval and Limerick had to wait until the 84th minute for their goal - a penalty from Paul Walsh. |
