The knock out stages of the Umbro Colleges and Universities Football League (CUFL) were announced yesterday by CUFL Competition’s Manager, Paul Brady.

The premier division will see UCD take on Queens for a place in the semi finals while Athlone IT will play UCC at home, Sligo IT will travel to Letterkenny IT and UL will host Tallaght It. Battling it out for a place in the second division final are Sallynoggin College F.E. and Athlone IT. Collaiste Ide must wait to see if they will play IT Carlow or Garda College in the other semi final fixture. The second division semi finals include Tipperary Institute V Dun Laoire IADT and IT Tallaght “C” V Drogheda Institute F.E.

Paul Brady said, “The standard of football in the CUFL competitions this year has been very high. The league sections have been hotly contested with qualification in many divisions only being secured in the final series of matches.”
