Holders IT Carlow came from behind to beat DIT 5-3 on penalties after a thrilling 1-1 draw at Frank Cooke Park (Tolka Rovers) today.

Nicky O'Brien had given DIT the lead with a long range strike in the first half. Ray Foy equalised in the second half but both goalkeepers excelled, Craig Sexton for Carlow and Craig Hyland for DIT.
