DCU and hosts IT Sligo played out a fantastic 2-2 draw in a thrilling encounter at the WSCAI national futsal finals.
Leaders DCU took the lead in the seventh minute when Michelle Watson tapped home at the back post after an excellent move involving Amy Ryan and Becky Walsh.
The hosts levelled within less than a minute when the skilful Annie Lynskey drilled home from close range after DCU keeper Lynn Dowling could only parry a close range effort.
Dowling was in top form and proved a difficult nut to crack for IT Sligo and when Orlagh Murphy put DCU 2-1 up in the 10th minute it looked like the advantage was to the Dublin outfit.
Remarkably Sligo levelled once again in the 11th minute when Kim Flood smashed home from close range after the ball squeezed through following a corner.
Flood was then unfortunate not to produce a winner when her long distance effort hit a DCU upright.
